Wednesday the 3rd of April
Before I get into today's post I want to say that the "A Day in the Life of an Intern" is coming to a close. Soon(ish) I will be starting a new series exploring the specific clubs I help with and what I've learned from them thus far.

A Day in the Life of an Intern
I woke up and a new day had started. Everyday we get a new start with new chances and a blank canvas of possibilities. But today was a new day in a new home. I got ready with a small struggle to make my lunch in an unknown kitchen. But I made it to bus new bus stop and off I was to work. I arrive to work not long after ten in the morning. Jacob and I were given a task of experimenting with a craft for Messy Easter*. We had flat salt dough eggs that we wanted the kids to be able to paint but to do that we needed to test it and make sure it worked. So the original plan was to mix the paint with glue and paint that mixture on but the glue and paint mixture just got clumpy and useless so we scraped that idea. Just few ideas later and we had it all sorted. Now the paint craft was set and ready. We went on do some more bits and bobs for messy Easter then when we were done I went and had my lunch while I worked on my "end of term review form"**.
This week was an extra special week because we had two visitors. One was Kelly's mom. Kelly is the other American intern. Then there was also me and Kelly's EMM (Eastern Mennonite Missions) contact person, Sherrie. So I got to meet with her after lunch and chat for a while.
While we were talking she read me a devotional that talked about spring and this idea of bringing spring has really stuck with me. I think it's such a beautiful picture of what the church is supposed to be to its community. One line of it went like this
"The warmth of love has arrived with new hope. A new season has come!"
What better way to Express what Jesus's love can do in a community? I think it's a beautiful picture of renewal and promise!
Next for the day was Gpod. Sherrie got to sit in and observe some of it, which was nice. It was a pretty normal day when it comes to Gpod.
After Gpod I went with Nkini back to her house. I had a lovely dinner while we listened to some Welsh songs. We even finished it off with some Welsh cakes! Some good conversation and a few laughs later and before I knew it I was home.
I am so grateful for the ways God works in the everyday. He isn't working only when you see it He is working all the time!

* Messy Easter Summery:
So messy Easter is an event that the Glenwood Church puts on that welcomes the community to come and we share the love of Jesus through fun and food. It's really fun and crazy!
** Review Form Summary:
My review form is something us interns do at the end of each term to help the Church know how we feel the internship is going from our perspective.
